Pindari Glaicer(3820 MTRS.)
Pindari is the most accessible Glacier, which lies on the outer ring of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary in the Kumaon Himalaya. The Pindari Glacier forms the snout of the river Pindar which forms the tributary of river Alaknanda.The area is rich in flora and fauna. Wide variety of Conifers, Cedar, Rhododendrons and Oak can be seen. The area of Pindari also serves as Paradise for the Bird watchers. One should always be on the outlook for a Musk Deer, Bharal, Snow Fox, Barking Deer and The Great Himalayan Bear.The everlasting beauty and the breathtaking view of the snow clad summits of Nanda Kot, Maiktoli, Nanda Khat, Panwalidwar and the mountain slopes proceeding towards the icy splendor of the Himalaya makes you feel your spirits soar and exhilaration becomes your companion.

Kafni Glacier ( 3860 Mtrs.)

The scenic beauty and the tranquility. Prevailing in this region has an unbeatable charm. The Kafni Glacier lies left of the Pinder Valley below the famous peak of Nanda Kot. As compared to Pinder Valley is the much broader and the Rhododendron that blooms here is spectacularly beautiful. The main Himalayan summits visible from the glacier Nanda Kot (6861mtrs) and Nanda bhanar (6236 mtrs.).

SUNDERDHUNGA VALLEY

 
The word Sunderdhunga means beautiful stones-the valley Sunderdhunga lies along Sunderdhunga gad (Stream) which joins the Pinder river just  below the Khati village. Jatoli the last village on the Sunderdhunga valley, lise just 7 kms from Khati. Beyond Jatoli there is nature at its best Rippling streams, water falls, undisturbed wildlife and open meadows. Above this is the towering southern ring on the Nanda Devi Sancturay whose peaks like Mrigthuni, Maiktoli, and Panwali Dwar are joined together with sharp ridges and hanging glacier, dominating  Sunderdhunga valley.The upper reaches of the valley open at the meadows of Kathalia where local shephards move in with their flocks during summer. Above around and beyond Kathaliya there are lush green meadows named Balooni Top and forest of Rhododendrons and Juniper.

MILAM GLACIER (3438 Mtrs to 3872 Mtrs)

Milam Glacier, with a superficial resemblance to Gaumukg, is five kilometers ahead, nestling under the jagged Hardeol Peak and it is a largest Glacier is Kumaon Himalaya.
The base for Milam Glacier is Munsyari (2290 Mtrs) in Pithoragarh district. From Munsyari the trek to Lilam is mostly downhill along Gori Ganga river. From Bogdiyar to Rilkot is a thickly forested area where the land opens into the Gori Ganga Valley. Crossing Gori Ganga river below Burfu Village, one gets an uninterrupted view of Nanda Devi and Hardeol peaks upto Milam Glacier. The last point of Milam Glacier at 3872 Mtrs is the nodal point for a variety of high grade routes and peaks.

NANDA DEVI EAST BASE CAMP (PACHU GLACIER)



This is a Trans Himalaya trek in the heart of Kumaon Himalayas. Nanda Devi of course, needs no introduction. The second highest peak in the Indian Himalayas and touted by many as one of the most beautiful peaks in the world. The trek is through the Jauhar Valley the center of ancient Indo Tibetan trade route. Once upon a time this was one of the most important commercial center with a throbbing civilization influenced by the Tibetan culture is so many ways.
At 2290 mtrs. Munsiyari is on the arterial water body of the Goriganga, which emerges from the Milam Glacier system of the eastern flanks of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary. Apart from the spectacular views of the famous peaks such as the Nanda Devi and Nanda Kot, the trek is along the river Gori Ganga through ancient villages and rolling grassy meadows.
The Martoli village, one of the Jauhar valley, represents the ruins of the history of the Indio ? Tibetan trade. Once a big village, one can clearly see in the ruins stories of a mighty commercial center Martoli was long time back in the heart of Himalayas.

PANCH-CHULI BASE CAMP (3355 MTRS)

Nesting sungly in the lap of the capped peaks of Panch-chuli, the darma Valley in Pithoragarh District is endowed with abundant scenic grandeur. One hundred and thirty four kilometers from Pithoragarh and 35 kilometers Glacier is a 40-kilometer trek. The route to the glacier abounds in exotic scenery, snow-capped mountains, gushing streams, alpine meadows and a rich variety of flora and fauna. And from the glacier one can see the Panch-chuli peaks in their towering glory.

Ensconced by the river Dhauli Ganga, Sobla is the point of the Darma Valley. In Sobla the trekkers put on their rucksacks and get ready for the vigorous journey ahead. Here onwards, it?s a 35-40 km trek that passes through Dar, Bungling, Sela, Nagling, Baaling and Duktu/Dantu village in the Darma valley before reaching Pancha-chuli Glacier. On the final lap at village Duktu/Dantu one gets the majestic spectacle of Pancha-chuli that derives its name from the five peaks, named after the legendary Pandavas. The 5 kms length and width of glaciers project out from this range of hill. A trek of about 4 kms from village Duktu/Dantu leads to the base of this Glacier.

The Glacier is seen from Duktu/Dantu villages as well as from the starting point of Yuli river situted 4 kms. away in the base of Panch-chuli. The 5 peaks of Panch-chuli create the unforgettable specter of Him khand, Yuli river  skirted by the jungle of Devdaar and Bhoj trees and vast meadows.
